Living Well with IgA Nephropathy Patient Webinar

The National Kidney Federation was pleased to host a Living Well with IgA Nephropathy Patient Webinar, initiated and funded by CSL Vifor with input from people living with and treating IgA nephropathy.

The session covered:

  • Understanding IgA nephropathy - who it affects, symptoms people might experience, and the practicalities of managing the condition day-to-day following a diagnosis.
  • A spotlight on the mental health challenges people might face, and advice and tools for coping with these.
  • Patient and caregiver perspectives and tips for living well with IgA nephropathy.

Speakers included:

  • Dr. Lisa Willcocks, Consultant Nephrologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Jude Allen, Senior Clinical Pharmacist, Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Dr. Jessica Dean, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Renal Services at Salford Royal Hospital.
  • Patient representatives.

The webinar was chaired by the NKF’s Head of Marketing & Fundraising Pete Revell.

This webinar has been initiated and funded by CSL Vifor with input from the National Kidney Federation and people living with and treating IgA nephropathy. It is part of the Navigate Your Numbers in IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) disease awareness campaign.
