Many people have questions about how their faith or personal beliefs relate to organ donation.

To help address this, a series of faith messaging booklets has been developed to support awareness and communication around organ donation. The resources were created following a conference held in partnership between NHS Blood and Transplant and the National Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Minority Ethnic Transplant Alliance (NBTA), which brought together representatives from 41 organisations, including healthcare trusts, voluntary and community sector organisations, universities and faith groups.

The booklets provide faith-specific guidance and messaging themes that reflect the views and insights of many leading individuals and groups working with ethnic and religious communities across England.

We’re sharing this update to help raise awareness of these new resources and to support open, informed conversations about organ donation and faith.
